Introduction I was baptised in the Episcopal Church of the U.S.A. I served as an acolyte from 1965 into 1972 at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, Albuquerque, NM. In 1982, I joined St. Michael and all Angels Anglo-Catholic Church, Escondido, CA, and served as an acolyte and a lay reader. I was chrismated into the Orthodox Church on Friday, 29 November 1985, by His Grace, Clement of Serpukhov, Patriarchal Vicar of the U.S. and Canada, Moscow Patriarchate. The following day, Bishop Clement tonsured me a reader. That same day, most of the parish of St. Michael and All Angels were chrismated and St. Michael and All Angels became a Western-Rite Orthodox parish under the Moscow Patriarchate. In 1989, I moved to St. John of Damascus orthodox Church, an OCA parish in Poway, CA, where I was an altar server and reader, and served as a subdeacon for His Grace, Bishop Boris, retired Bishop of Chicago and the Diocese of the Midwest. In 1993, I moved to St. Mark Orthodox Church, an OCA parish located in Bethesda, MD, where I am an altar server and reader, and serve as a subdeacon when necessary.
