Introduction It's like this...I've run a couple of non-profits for over 20 years. One big and one small. Over the years, I've personally hired, managed, coached and fired literally hundreds of people. I've worked with boards of directors for nearly that long as well. I've not only worked for and with dingus's, I've been one myself. Lest you think that I'm looking for: a. Consulting work (ick. My own problems are bad enough) b.Speaking gigs (I gave away my wardrobe a long time ago and besides I swear too much) c. Any other venture that would put me in the role of "expert" (ha! I was one for a long time and I always thought it was pretty funny!) I truly am not. It's not that I really want to take time away from cocktail hour (which is quite flexible in my house), or spend much time soberly pontificating about anything. However, Lover Man (he won't let me use his real name) and some of the young people that I work with, have repeatedly suggested that I write down the stories I tell them. Why? Probably so I'll stop talking. But, like the Green Phantom mouthwash commercial from my youth, I think they need to know the truth.
