| Introduction | (Please see the very first blog entry for a full description of this site; there wasn't enough room here to say everything. Yes, Blogspot is flawed) My name is Phil Campbell and I am obsessed with significant insignificances. I once persuaded 22 other Phil Campbells and one Phyllis Campbell to join me for a convention in the town of Phil Campbell, Alabama (the event earned me a mention in Ripleys — Believe it or Not!). I am the author of Zioncheck for President: A True Story of Idealism and Madness in American Politics, an eccentric, quasi-gonzo memoir about lefty politics in America. One of the main characters in Zioncheck is a grassroots-anarchist-politico who loves his adopted city (Seattle) so much he has the city logo tattooed on his arm. I'm currently working on a novel. |
