| Introduction | UPDATE! I am no longer a stay at home mom! I am now a full fledged Monday to Friday, W-2 filing, tax deducting, working mom! My stay at home days are OVER! I love it but definitely miss the days of a clean, organized, kept house. But love my freedom and the proverbial pat on the back and the pay check. Gotta love the paycheck! My kiddos are now in high school and the butt wiping had to stop! I need me. So here I am - I am baaack with new perspective as I train for my 3rd NYC Marathon in 2019! I am a working mom, I should say, I am also the family servant, bus driver, cook, laundress, boo-boo kisser, psychiatrist, cruise director, historian, caregiver, and all that jazz. But in the meantime, somehow, I, ME, JOHANNE, got lost somewhere along the way...who is the real me besides so and so's wife and so and so's mom? With bucket list at hand, I re-enrolled in college - I fell in love with running. I do my best meditation when pounding pavement or plowing new trails. Now finishing a race has become my new drug. So come along on my journey, bumpy, with some mileage no doubt, as I discover myself all over again in the meantime! |
