| Introduction | BOWW--Bloggers of Washington Wine--is a community of wine bloggers dedicated to promoting wines from the state of Washington, the second largest wine producer in the nation. BOWW will promote news, reviews, profiles of people in the wine industry and independent commentary regarding wines throughout Washington State. Founders: Margot Sinclair Savell, Write for Wine; Catie McIntyre Walker, Through the Walla Walla Grape Vine; and Thad Westhusing, Beyond the Bottle. The Association will include Wine Enthusiasts Blogs, Press Wine Blogs and Winery Blogs. BOWW offers community, wine education and a social network. Content for the BOWW website will consist of a daily listing of links to updated Washington wine blogs regarding Washington wine content. BOWW will sponsor wine blogging events such as monthly Washington Wine Blogging Wednesdays, meetings and tastings around the state. To join, a wine blog must contain at least 75% or more of content about Washington state wines. Wine blogs will be monitored over time to ensure they remain fresh and up-to-date. If wine blogs are removed they may be added once content is updated and remains consistent. |
