| Introduction | During a recent trip to China, we visited the Chengdu Panda Breeding and Research Center. Outside one of the enclosures was a sign that read "Love me, don't bother me", in a manner of Chinglesh bluntness that we'd become used to (for example, in one hotel we stayed in, the do-not-disturb light on the room console succinctly read "No Bother"). D said the ethos of "love me, don't bother me" perfectly explained my personality... It's also appropriate here since my inspiration for this blog is another kind of 'bear' — the koala. They need our care but don't want to be bothered either. |
