| Introduction | My name is Anika, I’m 11 years old, and I am extremely enthusiastic about learning! I’m a huge fan of science (I’m doing a spectacular project on ion propulsion), math (I am a GATE student, and when I was 8, I got 99.99%, and in John’s Hopkins SCAT math test, I received honorary mention.), English (I’ve won a national spelling competition and countless others), art (when I was 5, my Statue of Liberty painting won in the LA County Fair, and I’ve won countless art prizes on other occasions), music (I’ve won 1st place for my piano playing for the 33 districts of LA; state level) and so much more! I especially adore computer science, and have been coding for 3 years. I’ve created over 45 games and animations, and recently worked on an app on MIT App Inventor! I’ve also applied my own logic to solve 6 kinds of Rubik’s puzzles. I'm additionally a member of a volunteer teaching program called BSR, part of HELM Learning, where I story-tell to young children. I am also a Youth Leader at an NGO called DCI. I’m the head girl of my school. I’ve even participated in a GLOBAL app competition and gotten into the quarter-finals! All in all, I have around 85 certificates, 13 medals, and 7 trophies. |
