| Introduction | I'm a new Melbournite. I arrived here via rickety VW in 1997, several times, before finally arriving in 1998 by the very same rickety old VW. It was something about the lax registration laws, the lack of pokies and the fine food, wine and women that attracted me to Melbourne, and so I settled. I brought with me a computer, a pushbike and a filing cabinet. They remain with me today. There is no place like a filing cabinet for keeping the odd slave, or keeping track (read forgetting about) various bills, fines and tax/centrelink debts. I have since studied Commerce at the Uni of Ripping Students off in Melbourne, been struck down with the odd cancerous growth, and worked in my own business in Melbourne. Now I work with youth in the south eastern suburbs with the Uniting Church. |
