| Introduction | Carvers Music School is aimed at educating pre-school children to read and understand basic music through a fun and interactive approach. The children learn to understand musical symbols such as "semibreve" and "P" (soft) and "F" (loud). They go on a magical journey with me and learn to recognise musical notes in the treble clef. I am a musician and music and drama scholar and also have a little girl and after trying out groups that didn’t satisfy me, decided to set up my own Any health visitor will tell you to speak to a baby and he will watch your mouth and the way you form your words, or read to a baby because they will begin to recognise the written words. I have decided to apply this to music and teach babies from as young as 6 months to recognise musical symbols and I am pleased to say it works. I have been very impressed by the level of understanding and fun achieved in the lessons. |
