| Introduction | Have been growing and hybridizing irises for 54 years, starting as a 10 year old in MA. Polly Bishop, Lynn Markham and Bee Warburton were early mentors. These interests lead to a PhD in botany at Miami of Ohio. For 30 years I worked for the USDA as a plant cell biologist. While there, I hybridized LAs, spurias and BBs. Retired in 2010 to Oregon and have greatly expanded my hybridizing. Authored "Beardless Irises: A Plant for Every Garden Situation". |
