| Introduction | At on time I was "A Woman on a Mission" and today I am a kick ass CanCerViVor. As of January 23, 2013, this 'Mission' has changed.....it is time for people to understand life after cancer. The good, bad and the really freaking ugly........along with the beautiful thing I got back....LIFE! As of October 12, 2010, I was cured of Burkitt's Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. It is so rare that only 1200 out of every 69,000 lymphoma patients each year in Western Europe and the US get it. Of those 1200, only 3 females over 25 years old get it. Why didn't I just buy a lottery ticket? Instead of listening to what the doctors were saying, I made it my MISSION to live so I could continue to be a wife and mother. This blog started as a way for me to share my random thoughts. It then turned in to my therapy session. Now it is about to be documentation of how I live my life each day with the side effects of cancer treatment, but with a bit of sick and twisted humor thrown in........not for the faint of heart!! |
