Introduction Clay Blevins is the president of Comfort Supply, a 45-year-old heating and air conditioning distributor that sells equipment and supplies to contractors. One of the state’s first HVAC wholesalers, the company now has six locations throughout Tennessee. In 2004, 2005 and 2009 Comfort Supply was named national “Distributor of the Year” by its primary vendor – and in 2013, it was included on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. The company has also been profiled in HVAC News, The Tennessean, HVAC Insider, Distribution Business & the Nashville Business Journal. Most recently, Comfort Supply was featured in Forbes for its unique culture. Born in Nashville, Clay received his BA & MBA from Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla. He's held past positions with a mergers & acquisitions firm in New York City & an HVAC wholesaler in Newark, NJ. He has been president of Comfort Supply for 14 years. In 2010, the NBJ named him one of Nashville’s “Top 40 Under 40.” He is a former president & current member of the Entrepreneurs' Organization of Nashville and is on the Board of Trustees of the Frist Center for the Visual Arts as well as the board of Room in the Inn.
