| Introduction | Lived in Africa (1969-1975), Brazil (1976-1981), Portugal (1981-) and traveled all over for the past 20 years. 3,000 miles logged sailing offshore the Atlantic and Mediterranean. Built my first boat an Optimist in wood (1977). Graduated in Chemical Engineering (1985). Worked in Switzerland (1985) and then again in 1986 in a Nuclear Power Plant. Took a MSc (1988), went to the Military Service (Air Force Academy 1988-1990), took a PhD (1996). Got bored (2001). Took the Coastal Skipper Exam (2002) and bought a sailing boat (2002). Changed boat (2003) and took the Yachtmaster Off-Shore Exam (2004). Founded 4T (4TUNE Engineering Ltd www.4tune.pt) at the age of 40. Changed boat again (2005), took the Yachtmaster Ocean Exam (2006) and finally bought a real sailing boat (2007). Founded www.4SEA.pt (owner of NORTON's logo and organizer of 2020 event). Will circumnavigate (2018-2020) God willing. |
