Introduction	Official site: www.thelesson.net The Lesson is a Toronto-based partnership comprised of members Jon Manalo and Trevor Juras. Friends for over 10 years, the two decided to begin recording music when Jon discovered he had a knack for writing catchy rock melodies and Trevor discovered he had a knack for setting those melodies to catchy guitar arrangements. Soon, the duties of song-writing and production became so cooperative a group name had to be decided upon. The name chosen was The Lesson. Straddling the lines of self-parody and condescension, The Lesson refers to the cowardly act of using lies to lubricate your way out of an undesirable situation or relationship.
