| Introduction | Hi! I grew up on a 6,600 hectare farm with a 1,200 strong cattle herd. My dad and I restored a 1950's Norton 500 and I used the bike to run around on the farm. After completing matric, I studied BEng (Civil). While at varsity I bought a Yamaha XT 500 - my first vehicle. I enjoyed the motorcycle and bought a clapped out Suzuki 250 two stroke motocross bike with which I played around on off road tracks with. Upon completing the degree, I specialised in municipal engineering and township layout. During this time I became a member of the SAICE and he registered as a PrEng. I'm currently working in the city on a SAP PPM project. I regularly use my 95th Commemorative Edition Sportster to commute to and from work. I have wanted to restore a motorcycle for a while and in 2015 I was very fortunate to buy a 1941 Harley-Davidson WL. |
