| Introduction | I grew up in North Carolina, and have a Ph.D. in Economics (Applied Microeconomics) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I now live in Oregon, where I study the quality and costs of care for a local health insurance plan. My biggest hobby is Magic: The Gathering, which I play both casually and competitively (I travel to some Limited format Grand Prixes, and my best finish was 10th at GP Vancouver, 2012). I am also an amateur designer of Magic cards, and was a finalist in the second Great Designer Search. |
