Introduction Onyekaba, Cornelius Eze (AKA Cornel-Best) is a theatre scholar, seasoned arts teacher and journalist. He is currently a lecturer of theatre arts with the Department of Creative Arts, University of Lagos, where he teach courses in Modern African Drama, African Diaspora theatre, Theatre Management and Theatre Design. He is also currently a Ph.D. Candidate in Theatre/Nollywood Studies and has written extensively on Caribbean theatre and Carnivals. Onyekaba is pioneering the festivalization of theatre courses in Nigerian Universities with the Unilag-Africaribbean Festival\Carnival already in its fifth year. He has of recent evolved the Annual Unilag Costume and Make-Up Parade as well as the Unilag Children’s Theatre Festival. His recent work is Fela Son of Kuti , which was commissioned and performed as part of ‘Felabration 2010’ his other plays are: The Sleeping Gods, White Mask, Queen of the Dance Hall, and The Railway Engineer and Other Short Plays.
