| Introduction | After a lot of years in the world of advertising, I had the opportunity of time to pursue my dream of becoming a full-time artist. For about 20 years I was a painter, and enjoyed a reasonable amount of success. I still love it dearly. A few years ago, I began seeking a way to combine various loves: Textiles, mosaics, mixed media and, of course, paint, into something new--something more tactile--with more dimension than a canvas. I had used polymer clay a few times but only in the most basic, uninspired way. I don't recall exactly how or when I came across the book or website that opened my eyes to what could be done with this medium, but I was astounded. I haven't looked back yet. I've learned enough now to know I will never learn enough. That, in and of itself, is enough to keep me gong for a very, very long time. |
