Introduction	Have spent a lifetime lashing about in fast cars for a living am now piloting a 4mph narrowboat instead. Pottering round the canals with Harrywoman and battling with the 3G internet to blog and write.
Interests	canals (of course), boats, doing up old houses, lounging in a chair watching sport on tv, mindlessly surfing the internet, helping daughters get old cars started when they won't.
Favorite movies	One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest, Life of Brian, Zulu, Magnificent Seven, Day of the Dead, I'm sure you're getting the drift - boy's stuff.
Favorite music	Easier to say what I don't like - any bands who do dance steps while they mime (sorry sing).
Favorite books	Birdsong (Sebastian Faulks, Empire of the Sun (Ballard), Any Human Heart (William Boyd), Bleak House, Wuthering Heights, anything by RJ Ellory or James Lee Burke, Patrick O'Brian novels, do I sound pretentious enough yet?
