| Introduction | I have over fifteen years of experience as an academic and practitioner in the fields of transportation planning and urban planning, in the Netherlands, Israel and, recently, Belgium. I have worked for universities in the Netherlands and Israel, for two international consultancy companies, as a director of a non-governmental organization, and as a private consultant. My fields of expertise include the nexus between transport and land use, multi-modal travel, transport and justice, and participatory governance. I have carried out research on the impacts of land use on travel patterns, feedering modes of public transport, transport and justice, transport models, democratic modes of governance, and rationality in decision-making. I am currently working at the Department of Spatial Planning and the Institute for Management Research at Radboud University Nijmegen (the Netherlands) and am active as a board member of Transport Today & Tomorrow (Israel). |
