| Introduction | My marriage ended in 2001. As things go it was - and still is - fairly amicable. We sorted our financials in thirty minutes without any "help" from the legal profession. We were not that good in 'sharing' our children but I decided it was in their best interest if we could stay out of court. And we have been doing that so far. After all these years I still have not adjusted to lack of everyday contact with my daughters. We have a good relationship and as far as the common social attitude goes I do see them regularly. I do not see them long enough to be a real parent, but that is the subject of a completely different blog. Divorced fathers lead this strange dual life, single man at times and single dads at other times. Sometimes this double lifestyle is challanging other times amusing and most of the times frustrating. |
