IntroductionXTOS has been a Senior Designer at Zaha Hadid Architects since February 1998. He was Project Architect for numerous projects and winning competitions, including most notably the Sterling Prize nominee, the Phaeno Science Center Wolfsburg, completed in November 2005. Education Christos studied and gained his professional degree at the School of Architecture of Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY in 1995, as a Fulbright Scholar. Subsequently, he continued with his postgraduate studies in the field of Advanced Architectural Design at the Architectural Association, London, where he received his Graduate Design Diploma in 1998. Work XTOS led the design in various competition entries for the Practice, including: Holloway Road Pedestrian Bridge (1999) –1st prize- Phaeno Science Center Wolfsburg (2000-2006). He has also lead the competition designs for Connecticut Science and Exploration Center in Hartford, CT (2004), S.C. Johnson Wax Project Honor (2005) a prestigious extension to F.L. Wright’s campus, Eleftheria Square redesign, Nicosia, Cyprus-1st prize (2005) and Miami Science museum- 2nd prize (2006).

Arch (Hons), AAGrad.Des.Dipl, ARB, ETEK Associate Director Zaha Hadid Archs XTOS has contributed to the design of various projects of the practice including the Sheik Zayed Bridge in Abu Dhabi(1998- ongoing), Rosenthal Contemporary Arts Center in Cincinnati (completed 2003) and the design of the MAXXI National Center for Contemporary Arts in Rome (2000-on going), and contributed in larger scale projects such as the Istanbul masterplan for Kartal-Pendik in Istanbul (2006). Recently, he has been design leader on projects such as the Architecture Foundation in London (2005- ongoing), the OPUS tower in Dubai (2006-ongoing), the Dominion-M office complex in Moscow ((2005-ongoing), the commission for Eleftheria Square redevelopment and also a masterplan proposal for the redevelopment of the Port, in Tangier, Morocco and the design for a small contemporary Arabic Arts Gallery in Tunis. XTOS is currently teaching at the AA Design Research Lab. He has also been invited to numerous Design Juries at both undergraduate and at graduate level in Europe and the US. Lectures 13th B.
