| Introduction | In 1992, 900 retail and educational customers were dumped on me as the "new guy" at a computer store. It took me half an hour to work up quotes and I had to handle walk-in traffic. As the days passed and my face tightened from stress, one of our corporate salesmen said, "Here. This may help you." He handed me a box with FileMaker 2 installer disks and manual in it. I took it home, stayed up all night, and designing my first quote generating system. My life has never been the same. I was with the Alabama Eye Bank for eleven years and now develop software, train and consult with clients and developers full time.
