| Introduction | Seems that Sheryl Karch and I were destined to travel together during this lifetime. It all began when I met her at the Red Cross in the late '90s, where we became close colleagues.That was an adventure! I travelled extensively for the organization, and Sheryl was out and about, too. In anticipation of retirement, we took our first trip together in 2010 with our friend Carol. We planned a three-week tour of Italy and France. Planes, trains, and buses took us from the U.S. to Milan, Venice, Assisi, Rome, Capri, Cinque Terra, Florence, and Tuscany. After two weeks in Italy, it was off to Provence in France for a week. There we stayed in Nice and Avignon, using these beautiful cities as jumping off spots for tours to Monaco, Gourdon in the French Alps, Arle, Cannes, and the French Riviera. What a great time! Now the "gallivanting duo" will be off to Europe again. It's been 8 years since that magnificent trip. In the intervening years Sheryl has toured Amsterdam and Greece. I spent that time healing from 2 hip replacements. All's well now, and so it’s “off we go!” We're ready for more fun and new experiences. Follow the blog to see what we're up to!! |
