| Introduction | My name is Jaine Rodack. I am a writer and voiceover person by trade. I've made a career of reading and writing for companies of all sizes and descriptions. What do I write? Speeches, sales, training and tribute videos, brochures, articles, radio and TV commercials, books, ads, all manner of internal communications, lyrics, recognition and reward materials, sketches, jingles, presentations and other special material, including this blog! | Interests | Movies,TV & Radio, Cooking,Vintage magazines, "Remainder" and other odd but wonderful books, music and just about anything related to pop culture in the 1950s. |
| Favorite movies | Romantic comedies and thrillers from the 1940s and 50s, more recent - what you would call "small movies",- often quirky and/or foreign. I am also a documentary fan,seeking out titles that explore subjects I know little-or-nothing about. |
| Favorite music | Anything by Pete Pedersen (Check out petepedersen.com), Oscar Peterson, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Michael Buble, Rosemary Clooney, Peggy Lee,Paul Simon, James Taylor, Cole Porter, George Gershwin, classical and light classical music, 50's and 60's chart-toppers and 1930 & 1940 standards. |
| Favorite books | Non-fiction mostly, but not entirely. Just about anything that captures my interest by the end of the first paragraph. I've written several, including BE OF GOOD CHEER: MEMORIES OF HARMONICA LEGEND PETE PEDERSEN,FORGOTTEN RECIPES(Now in its 18th printing), AS COOL AS A CUCUMBER, and THE PEABODY: A HISTORY OF THE SOUTH'S GRAND HOTEL. |
