Introduction	During my adolescent years, I wasn’t really taught about the importance of having a Political Ideology. As I grew older, I started noticing the impacts that people’s opinions had on the way this country worked. When I was old enough to vote, I based my voting on what that person or propositions were trying to accomplish, and if I thought people would benefit from it. The reason I am taking this class is that I am required to by Texas Law, but I feel that if I have to it will give me the opportunity to really get a thorough understanding of how the U.S. Government works. There are some things that I remember from school, but would also want to know more about. I took the civics quiz and scored 57 percent. There were some questions on several topics that have stayed in my memory over the years. After taking the test, I went back and researched the questions in which I answered incorrectly. I look forward to learning more about the U.S. Government.
