Favorite Music	relaxed upbeat german techno classic american jazz singers like etta james, tonal experiments like nobukatsu takemura, boards of canada, local flavor from pixies to tv on the radio and classics from rachmananov to glen gould, the goldberg variations and completing the circle with Wagner.
Favorite Books	Machado de Assis, most things that aren't lifeless. Peter Hoeg, some Indian writers and whatever is on the foreign service exam recommended list.
