Introduction	I had the duodenal switch Nov 2003 with Dr. Sillin at USC in Los Angeles, Ca My surgery was preformed "open" I weighed 321lbs and I lost a total of 179lbs to a lowest of 142lbs within a year and half. I have since regained am now weighing anywhere from 175 to 185lbs.I was weighing 198lbs back in January 2010 before I had additional bariatric surgery preformed by Dr. Crookes to eliminate acid reflux He reduced my stomach again and thus I lost a few pounds not quite as much as I hoped to though.I have had a heck of a ride with this whole WLS experience and have learned that you MUST take your supplements and protein or face life threatening situations.
