| Introduction | I am a bookbinder and book artist. I have had a love affair with books since the age of 12, when I bought my first collection of books with my paper route money. Since then I have learned the art and craft of making books. I get great pleasure working with paper, creating unique designs around and with found objects, and making replicas of things I find in every day life. I studied bookbinding and papermaking at the Ottawa School of Art and bookbinding and box making through the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artists Guild. As an adult educator I enjoy teaching bookbinding and box making. I am an active member of the Canadian Bookbinders and Book Artist Guild and the Ontario Crafts Council. |
