| Introduction | A member of the English Department faculty at Northwest Missouri State University, I teach courses in composition, creative writing and literature, and my primary academic interest is writing and language theory. I hold Master's degrees in Slavic Languages and Literature, and Soviet and East European Area Studies, from the University of Kansas, and a Master's in English from Northwest. My professional writing experience includes translations, print and radio journalism, and academic articles; in addition, I have been awarded writing residencies for my fiction at Ragdale, an Illinois writers' colony, the Writers' Colony at Dairy Hollow in Eureka Springs, AR, and at Norcroft, a women's writing colony on the north shore of Lake Superior. |
