| Introduction | I am doing a Phd in Environmental Studies at York University, my fields of research being political economy, environmental studies and social arts. I am also involved with two art groups for women in the Junction, the Red Wagon Collective with Nancy Halifax, which is a community arts project at Evangeline's women's residence. The other is the A la c.Art group. I also work with the video collective the MoneyProject which produces short video works that critically examine lives lived under capitalism. |
| Interests | I am interested in the "new social art" as a departure place from "community arts practice," where community arts has an ameliorative overtone, the "new social art" engages in art practices that do not shy away from conflict arising out of the socio-economic and political conditions of our lives within capitalism. |
