| Introduction | For almost 3 decades I have lived and worked among the people that pick our food and fiber, Mexican farm workers and their families. I have a number of publications, and have been the recipient of a series of prestigious grants. However, I never got a tenure track position in academia in large part because I consistently alienate others, burning my (social) bridges before I cross them! I am now a full-time writer with 3 books somewhere along a continuum of potential chapters already published as stand-alone articles in academic volumes, musings that will be the fodder for my blog entries, and notes/dreams in my boxes and brain. I hope to post a new entry in each of my 2 blogs (my second has a link, below) every two weeks, so please stay tuned, and feel free to comment! |
