| Introduction | I'm a Mississippi Girl married to a Louisiana Man. Put that combo together & you get lagniappe - a dividend, something extra, a gift. I love God, my man, my kids, my labs, & my LSU Tigers! God has blessed me far more than I deserve. I was born into amazing family that is a constant in my life. My parents brought me up in an open door family. Our door was always open to everyone. Our home was always the center of activity filled with family, friends, and food. When I married my Bayou Boy, we, too, have operated with an open door policy for our family and friends. Trust me, my man can out-cook anyone, anywhere, at anytime! The older I get, the more I appreciate my God, my family, and my friends. I've learned a lot of things in my half-century: you can't replace your family; old friends are to be treasured; new friends are delightful; celebrate every moment as a gift from God because that is what it is; it is a blessing when your children say, "Mom, you were right about....."; laughter is extremely good medicine; take care of your knees (4 knee surgeries); and most importantly, you can never say I LOVE YOU enough! |
