Introduction Scarlett O'Hara is my hero. Sure, she was a bratty little girl at first. But she was a survivor. The girl had guts and did whatever it took to get by. And after some growing up, she learned to put family, home and heart first. I think she was a great example of a woman who could persevere. That's where I can relate. I've had quite a few things get in the way of my happiness, so it's time to make some changes. Rather than dreaming of the things I'll do in the future when I have a house and kids, I'm going to start doing them now. Why wait for kids to start feeding myself properly and running a frugal and efficient home? I have recently joined the REAL FOOD movement. And while I've always considered myself to be environmentally conscious, I'm just starting to take it seriously. This is my journey of ups and downs, crafts, recipe wins and fails, and finding joy in homemaking to drag myself out of the depression of a routine life and an unfulfilling corporate job. Put your seat belt on, this is going to be a bumpy ride!
