| Introduction | I have been married since 1998 to the former Cheryl Linde. We've lived in Andover since 2000. We have one cat - a Siamese named Sasha. I am a 25-year employee of the Hennepin County Human Services Department, where, for the past 20 years I've been a trainer of new employees in the Staff Development unit. I have been a member of AFSCME since 1990. Until 2014, I was Local 34's Vice President (8 years) and continue as its monthly Newsletter Editor. I also serve on the County's Labor-Management Health Care Committee, considering insurance and wellness issues. I am a former High School Social Studies and Middle School Special Ed. Teacher, having taught in Anoka-Hennepin and in southern Minnesota. In 2012, I began serving as a SD 35 DFL leader, which led to me co-Chairing the 2014 DFL Caucuses in Andover. I was elected as SD 35 DFL Chairman in March 2014 and am serving a two-year term. I will also serve SD 35 DFLers at the 6th Congressional District and State DFL Central Committees.
