| Introduction | I am a student attending ACC in a attempt to acquire a Bachelors degree. I have lived in Texas the entire 27 years I've been alive and never really paid much attention to Texas politics or national politics, although the recent presidential election has inspired me to be more involved in politics and even encouraged me to vote for the first time in my life. In the great state of Texas a Texas and Local Government class is mandatory and is the main reason why I am creating this blog, however I hope to use this opportunity to learn more about government in Texas, how it affects me and my family, and how I can be more involved.
One of things I have learned in my new involvement with politics is that I hate title like liberal or conservative. If I voted for Obama and believe in going green or equal rights for Gay and Lesbian couples, that makes me Liberal? What if I also believe it is my right to have Assault Rifle and to carry a concealed weapon, or that I have the right to shoot anyone on my property? Does that make me a typical Right Wing Conservative Texan? According to typology.people-press.org I'm a liberal, Go Figure? |
