| Introduction | A 45 year-old outreach worker, case planner and consultant living in Victoria B.C. Formerly homeless, Derek is now university-educated and dedicated to the fight against homelessness and extreme poverty. Derek has also been very involved in regional and local projects such as the Extreme Weather Protocol, The Homeless Needs Survey, the 2005 Homeless count, and other inclusion-related efforts. He is currently writing, and developing the Getting it Done Network to address the challenges of homelessness in his community. |
