How do you pronounce the 'g' in bologna?
Ah great question - I once jokingly pronounced it with a "ga" (relating to the town in Italy) and a person who felt they were well versed in all things "italia" jumped on me - really! - a priest came to my rescue. This is a true story. Do not attempt this at home.
