Introduction Talley Wells is the Director of the Disability Integration Project at the Atlanta Legal Aid Society, Inc. and creator of OlmsteadRights.org. He advocates for individuals with disabilities confined in Georgia institutions and nursing homes and individuals at risk of institutionalization. His focus is on implementation of the Supreme Court's Olmstead decision. He has been a key advocate in the implementation of a five-year 2010 U.S. Justice Department settlement with Georgia that is enabling most people with intellectual disabilities and mental illness to leave state institutions and return to the community. He works with the Institute on Human Development and Disability at the University of Georgia on a grant that educates law students about Olmstead. He chairs the board of The Center for Working Families. Also, he and his wife Laura worked for ten years to found a L’Arche community for adults with developmental disabilities in Atlanta. He attended Duke University and Duke Law School. Talley is a former skipper on the world famous Jungle Cruise at Walt Disney World. http://www.OlmsteadRights.org/
