| Introduction | Welcome to my virtual den! I am advocating for community self - sufficiency, distributed renewable energy generation, and sustainable local food and business. My goal is homesteading "beyond net zero". As a Mechanical Engineer from the Fortune 500 automotive industry era, I transitioned into the field of renewable energy by pursuing a Masters in Applied Science. My research was primarily focused on the assessment and analysis of the interaction between climatic variables and urban morphology in support of building-integrated renewable energy conversion system development. Since graduation, I have conducted home energy audits as an NRCan Certified Energy Advisor, supported utility-scale wind farm development as a Senior Wind Analyst (SkyPower Corp), acted as interim Division Head throughout the launch of Brant Renewable Energy, a division of a local utility company (BCPI), and sustained start-ups within the Solar PV & thermal sectors through project management, site assessment, system design and installation as Sole Proprietor and Principal Consultant of EcoDomus Consulting. |
