Introduction	I am a scientist at heart who loves to be outside and invent in the kitchen. Formally I am educated in the fine art of marine botany- that is the study of stuff washed up on the beach people tend to complain about as being smelly and dirty. And mud. I did a lot of work wading through mud. Hey kids- marine biology isn't just for dolphins anymore. When I'm not caring for my dear husband and 2 dogs, I am trying to create a job that combines cooking, outdoors, and my 2nd childhood dream of being a banjo playing comedy writer (1st was prop-comic-magician-forest-ranger).

Favorite books	Anything Kurt Vonnegut, Bill Bryson, Tom Robbins. I am currently loving Roads to Quoz, an American Mosey. By William Least Heat-Moon.
