Introduction	My diverse interests in social systems, science, technology, sustainability and agriculture have found a focus in the nexus between beekeeping and food production. I intend to establish and conduct a research project to examine the state of managed pollination in Australia before the incursion of varroa (varroa incursion permitting). Specifically I want to look at how orchardists are making use of managed pollination, and how beekeepers are providing it.
