| Introduction | In the fall of 2006 I sold my 4 bedroom, 3 bath home in Brea, CA and my wife Lynn and I moved into a small apartment while waiting for our new home to be built. We placed a few possessions in a small storage unit and on 11/30/06, Lynn quit her Job at Easter Seals and the next day, 12/01/2006 we left the apartment for the last time and drove to Harrisburg, Oregon, towing a small U-Haul trailer filled with all of our remaining possessions behind our '05 Jeep Grand Cherokee to take delivery at the factory of our brand new home on wheels; a '07 41 ft. Monaco Executive with 4 slides and all the bells and whistles we thought we would need or want. We than drove the motor home, towing the Jeep to Mesa, AZ where we parked in a RV resort while I finished up my 10 years at Nestlé, USA, working from their data center in Tempe, AZ. On 7/3/2007 after retiring, we left Mesa to begin the newest chapter in our lives; Full Time RVers. With the entire North American continent as our "Front Yard", we began to explore our surroundings. The ability to sleep in our own bed; use our own bathroom, cook our own meals and no packing and unpacking is great. This Blog is my attempt to document our journeys. |
