| Introduction | I grew up in Brisbane, Australia with parents who told me I could do anything in the world. I had a terrific education, full of opportunities to participate in studies, sport and extra curricular pursuits. I have an older brother and sister who taught me many things about life from an early age, so in a sense my childhood was shorter than most. I was always a serious kid impatiently waiting to grow-up and be an adult. My parents divorced when I was 13, so I guess that made me grow up quicker than normal as well. I curiously studied the world around me and had an insatiable appetite for learning, learning all things about everything! I never felt constrained by my geography, family, education or abilities. Today, my greatest love is my daugther Aria and my greatest interest is the world she will inhabit. |
