| Introduction | I spent my twenties in and out of school and low wage jobs trying to find my authentic career and right livelihood, after dropping out of a pre-law program one course short of graduation. In 1987 I was hired to care for the baby of friends - they were studying RIE, I was studying the History of Mothering in an M.A. program. Serendipitously it all came together and I ended up at Pacific Oaks, where I was a student or adjunct faculty member until 2009. During that time I decided that I wanted to spend more time with babies and began my family child care program. Every three years, starting in 1993, I have begun a new cohort of babies who stay with me for three years. I began my eighth cohort in the fall of 2014. I live with my partner Terri in a little old house, with an out of control garden and a strange little dog. After years of teaching "Early Childhood Themes and Lifecycle Issues" I feel that I'm beginning to grow into the wisdom of aging that we discussed so much in that class. |
| Interests | How we know what we know and why we do what we do. Creating a more just, peaceful and sustainable world. Reading, knitting, playing in the garden, Buddhist & Jewish thought, and more. |
| Favorite movies | I don't watch many movies because I'm sensitive to visual over-stimulation. My favorite genre is documentaries. |
