| Introduction | Reporting for newspapers and wire agencies for most of my career and now writing for magazines and online publications, are the staple that nourishes my professional life. With that rich experience adding depth and insight to what I do, I can share some history and knowledge culled from many years of reporting for dailies in Manila, Japan's Asahi Shimbun and Germany's Deutsche Presse Agentur. My 16-year stay in America had been most enriching in terms of reaching out to the vast number of Filipinos in North America through the written word. San Diego, California had been my base. There, I founded three newspapers (Diario Veritas, The District Times and the Philippine Village Voice) as a service to the Filipino community. I currently write for a number of print and online publications in the US, Canada and the Philippines in addition to having my blogs and news video channels. I'm a member of Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE), Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA) and National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada (NEPMCC).
