| Introduction | I'm a writer, a playwright, an emerging documentary filmmaker. I've studied Comparative World Religions, Renaissance and Reformation Studies, Creative Writing, Literature, done experiential work in eastern religious practices and alternative spiritualities. I founded an arts organization, Hidden River Arts, which I've grown over these years into an interdisciplinary organization, still run on a very small budget, which supports an independent small press, a gallery, outreach programs, workshops, classes, competitions and other arts activities. I've been a homeschool parent and an adjunct university professor - and an educational activist. I'm a feminist, an advocate of social and economic justice, of single payer healthcare, free university education. I support collaborative consumption, community collaboration, supporting small independent local businesses, boycotting chain stores and large corporations, large banks. This blog will cover the arts, education, politics, women's issues, health and wellness issues, spirituality...in short, anything that seems interesting or relevant to the life I am living, the world I am trying to understand. |
