About me

Introduction The National ICT Confederation of the Philippines (NICP), created in 2008 serves as the recognized advocate for countrywide ICT industry development. Its creation was actively assisted by the Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT). Today, NICP is known as the champion of countrywide digital development. NICP, which is currently chaired by Bacolod-Negros Occidental Federation for ICT (BNEFIT) chair and former Bacolod councilor Jocelle Batapa-Sigue, has 35 ICT council members all over the country. NICP actively participated in the crafting of the PDS in Visayas, Mindanao, and Luzon, where its four major goals are highlighted, namely, internet access for all, a transparent government, ICT education for everyone, and economic development of all the regions.
