| Introduction | I'm just a very lucky American (a mix of Chicago roots, raised in Oklahoma, now living in Texas) who happened to marry a hunky Alpine man with a heart of gold almost 30 years ago. Since then, my life has been punctuated with travel to one of the most beautiful areas of the world surrounded by the Alps, and so much more. I feel both enriched and conflicted at times by the melding of my culture with his, but it's always interesting and it has opened my eyes and broadened my view of the world. Seeing my culture and country through the eyes of others, as well as their world through mine, is sometimes hilarious, sometimes enlightening, sometimes surprising - always entertaining. I have two wonderful children, now married with lives of their own, and 3 beautiful grandchildren. |
