| Introduction | Jon E. Easter was born in Indianapolis and raised on the Westside near Ben Davis High School. Upon graduation from BD, Easter matriculated to Indiana University where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in English. He is licensed to teach English, journalism, and radio/TV broadcasting. For almost a quarter century, he's been a holding down his day job as a high school teacher. His involvement in politics can be traced back to his parents. Though they were Republicans, they talked often about political issues around the dinner table and encouraged civic involvement. Jon has worked on and managed political campaigns. He has twice been a candidate for public office (managing to lose both races). He's served in a variety of local roles within Democrat politics including PC and Ward Chair. He's also the former host of the JohnnyStir Show on Indiana Talks. Jon started the original Indy Democrat Blog in June of 2008. |
